Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injected underneath the skin to improve contour, soften wrinkles and replace volume. They have the ability to lift soft tissue and tighten the skin of your face to give you a more youthful appearance. They can also correct pre-existing facial asymmetries or enhance features you feel could be improved. We believe that injection of fillers is very much an art form. The result is highly dependant on the experience and talent of your injector. We also believe it involves the active participation of our clients —communicating with us their desires.

Fillers are made of a naturally occurring sugar called Hyaluronic Acid. This substance is found throughout the body, and deteriorates with age. Fillers come in a number of preparation forms which behave slightly differently once injected. Some cause a firmer, fuller look; others are softer and more pliable. The choice of filler depends on the area being injected and the look each client desires. The most common areas to be injected include the cheeks, lips and jowls. Prior to injection, we will carefully apply local anaesthetic to the area to reduce discomfort.
