After 3 years at St. Andrews, Dr. Alex moved to the University of Edinburgh to complete her degree. She then went on to complete her 5 year Plastic Surgery residency at McMaster University, as one of only 2 international medical graduates to obtain positions within Canada. Dr. Alex also completed a 1 year fellowship in Breast Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery. Throughout her training, Dr. Alex received numerous awards for her outstanding clinical research and was recognized for her exceptional surgical skills.
Dr. Alex is a member of the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. She is an active participant with the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three young children, cooking, keeping fit, and traveling.
